My client, an award winning community interest company based near Elland, are recruiting a Customer Service Advisor to join their expanding team.

You will be a point of contact for vulnerable energy consumers ensuring that they are aware of funding streams that are available to them and assist them to become energy savvy, reducing their bills and energy usage.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be calling customers who have pre-booked telephone appointment with you and chatting with them to evaluate if they are eligible to a wide range of energy funding streams which could help lower their bills and energy useage.You may have to ask fact finding questions and get to know more about their current situation such as entitlement checks, benefit tracking – once you’ve got a good understanding you’ll be able to point them in the right direction of funding streams that they are eligible to.

There is absolutely no selling in this role – this is about helping, often, vulnerable individuals the support they may struggle to find themselves.

What experience will I need?

Well, you’ll be a great communicator, able to build trust and rapport on the telephone, be patient and demonstrate empathy.You might have worked in an advisory role before or had experience working with vulnerable individuals on the telephone.You’ll enjoy learning, whether that be new funding schemes, energy advise they will be plenty of opportunity to develop.
