This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful company based on the outskirts of Wakefield city centre.The position is based with the Technical Team and you will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the department. As an integral and active member of the team your part is to process works orders, helping to deliver new and innovative products and solutions into the marketplace, within agreed timescales, on budget, with absolute accuracy and to the highest quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To support the service that enables completion of all aspects of pre-production. This includes issuing paperwork to Production & logging information on computer.
  • To gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s end to end processes and to learn and administer the full administrative function
  • To Gain a basic understanding of the Company’s products in order to be able to select appropriate manufacturing instructions from an existing library of documents.
  • To follow an existing procedure to generate Production Orders using a computerised system.
  • To liaise with Production to check stock levels of finished products.
  • To liaise with the Order Processing & Quotes teams to resolve queries
  • To maintain statistics such as KPIs.
  • To carry out amendments to orders – identifying current progress of a job and make any necessary changes to paperwork whilst ensuring all relevant people are kept informed of the changes
  • To “build” production orders on a daily basis and keep the “open items” list up to date – tracking down any missing paperwork when necessary
  • To provide cover to the planning department as and when requested to do so.
  • To generate paperwork required to complete the month end process
  • To generate production orders for stock items required by various departments such as engineering and production
  • To issue breakdown paperwork for any built items that are to be dismantled and the parts returned to stock
  • To carry out filing & archiving of historical paperwork
  • To prioritise own workload
  • To be aware of and work to high quality standards
  • To maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity at all times
  • To work on own initiative as appropriate
  • To carry out any other duties, as requested by the Technical Team Leader, and Company Directors as and when required.
