My client based in central Huddersfield are seeking an excellent administrator to join their team.

You will be responsible for providing support to the project team based around the UK alongside another administrator. You will build and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients, contractors and consultants and therefore strong communication skills are essential. On a daily basis you will be responsible for;

  • Answer and screen telephone calls and direct all incoming calls to the appropriate party promptly and efficiently.
  • Diary management and organisation, planning and scheduling appointments and meetings.
  • Communicate and handle all incoming and outgoing electronic and paper communications on behalf of the projects team
  • Assist with the preparation of presentation materials and papers for meetings.
  • Prepare background documents and outgoing electronic mail as necessary.
  • Liaison with suppliers, contractors, clients, Associate Director and the team
  • Maintenance of office systems, such as filing, data management, action planning etc.

Experience and skill required:

  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office packages in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all work.
  • Polite and friendly telephone manner.
  • Able to work on own initiative without supervision.
  • Positive and proactive approach to team working.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability and willingness to take responsibility for planning and prioritising
  • own workload.
  • Able to work calmly with attention to detail under pressure.
  • Able to calmly and effectively juggle and prioritise a variety of demands from a large team and Office Manager.
  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal, written and drawn formats using appropriate media for different audiences both
  • internally and externally.
  • Able to communicate with remote team members and motivate them to achieve deadlines.
  • Able to work well within an Administration Team and provide support and cover to colleagues when required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, self motivated with initiative.
  • Pro-active in approach with a positive attitude
