Our client, based in central Huddersfield, are looking for a strong administrator to provide support their Health and Safety Director. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is experienced in admin support, has the confidence to chase up work in order to achieve deadlines and is happy to work in a role focused on such detail-orientated work.

Main responsibilities:

·Diary management and organisation, planning and scheduling appointments and meetings on behalf of the Health & Safety Director.

·Manage, prioritise and co-ordinate schedules for conference calls, inter-office and client meetings

·Assist with the preparation of presentation materials and papers for meetings.

·Responsible for the collation and recording of Health & Safety Files, proactively keeping up to date records of completed and outstanding files,

·Proactively managing the status of a large number of projects in order to keep an organised, up to date record of these that the Health & Safety Director can refer to at any time.

·Arrange travel schedule and reservations as needed including booking accommodation and travel.

·Timesheet and expense management on behalf of the Health & Safety Director, including ensuring timesheets and expenses are completed and posted to the relevant individuals/departments for authorisation in a timely manner.

·Serve as a line of communication from the employees to the Director

·Managing incoming emails in priority.

·Proactive liaison with colleagues, suppliers, contractors and clients, building relationships and chasing information required for projects.

·Provide cover to the wider Administration Team as and when required to cover sickness and holidays, including general administration and reception duties.

Essential skills required:

·Fully conversant with Microsoft Office packages in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.

·Previous secretarial/administration support experience

·Willingness to learn and progress

·Polite and friendly telephone manner

·The ability to work on own initiative without supervision

You will have a positive and proactive approach to team working, have excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
