This rapidly expanding international business are seeking a proficient and commercially aware Senior Management Accountant to provide financial support, insight and to contribute towards the efficient running of both the finance department and the business.

You will need to develop, implement and use existing financial systems and processes to ensure that the day to day company finance needs are met, senior management and the parent company are provided with relevant and timely information and the company operates efficiently and cost effectively.

Roles and Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage month end close – including preparation of management reporting pack
  • Reporting and commentary on variance analysis
  • Detailed reporting on retailer margins to GM
  • Cost control and analysis of sales channels & departments to EBITDA
  • Prepare annual budget and monthly reforecast
  • Develop and monitor cash-flow forecasting model both short and long term
  • To support the business in all aspects of decision making
  • To assess, analyse and challenge business performance
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Special projects and ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

Attributes and Skills:

  • Highly numerate with strong analytical ability
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
  • Methodical and diligent with a willingness to work toward and manage tight deadlines.
  • Have a can-do attitude and work well within a team

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Finance/Accounting required with at least 2 years exposure to financial and management accounts preparation
  • CIMA or ACCA Qualified (Preferred not essential with significant relevant experience)
  • Based on the outskirts of Leeds close to M1
