You’ll be office based working 8.30am – 5pm and provide day to day bookkeeping for the company reporting to the Director. You’ll work alongside a colleague who is responsible for payroll and will cover for you whilst you are on holiday, so no coming back to a desk full of work!

Daily responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, statement reconciliations and making payments
  • Some sales ledger invoicing
  • Production of the quarterly VAT return
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Providing month end reports (on Excel)
  • Month end procedures
  • Health & Safety administration and reporting
  • Working with external accountants at year end

Key skills & experience:

  • Good IT skills. Training on their system will be provided however intermediate level of Excel required
  • Proven experience working in a stand -alone finance role and producing accounts to trial balance
  • Accounts experienced gained within a SME
